Villa Neptune Painted in earthy pigments, the villa manages to function complementary to the harsh landscape of the rocks that surround it in the back. Special emphasis has been put on architectural blend with the rugged landscape of the cape through the use of stone, iron and wood, thus achieving a harmonious architectural effect. Road access to the villa is secured through an 800m dirt road that is connected to the main road leading to Livadia, while the 60m of distance from the beach can be covered on foot through a path that leads to the beach exactly beneath the villa. The main villa is painted in ochre yellow (inside) and includes a comfortable living room for 8 people with two sofas; its minimal design is stressed by two large patio doors, 5 metres wide, securing a magnificent view of the pool that seems to bring the sea and the bay's lacey beaches a little closer.

On the other side of the villa, the kitchen is made of oak tree and it is equipped with a large steel-plated refrigerator and work surfaces with ergonomic cupboards. There is also a separate surface with modern fitted equipment, a combination of wood and a steel chimney, 4 cooking zones, a dish washer, a washing machine and a sink. In the middle of the villa, there is a large dining room comfortable enough for 8 people. A unique architectural design uses glass dividers to separate the dining room from the master bedroom, allowing for a single, unhindered view of the wooden ceiling that seems to run along the whole house.The master bedroom has double opening patio doors with an unsurpassed view of the sea, and an en-suite double Jacuzzi bathroom, thus offering an exquisite combination of relaxation, water massage and view of the sea and the rocks through the huge glass divider that surrounds it.

Two more bedrooms are one level up from the living room. The bedroom on the left can function as a master bedroom if you unite its two beds; it has a double en-suite Jacuzzi bathroom with glass screens and a large glass window that offer magnificent view of the rocks and the rugged landscape. Stepping outside from the bedroom into the inside patio, you can relax sunbathing and enjoying the view. Exactly opposite the corridor lies the other bedroom with two beds, its own little veranda and a small garden. This bedroom communicates with the bathroom in the area between the other two bedrooms through a separate door. This bathroom can function independently because of its glass and steel dividers and it is therefore accessible both by this bedroom and the rest of the house.

 On the left side of the villa, there is an L-shaped pool, which is 19 metres long, 6 metres wide and 0.60-1.70 metres deep, coated in sky blue tessera mosaic. The left side of the pool where the water is running allows the swimmer to enjoy the magnificent horizon where the sea ends, the lacy beaches and the rugged rocks just in front of him. Half of the pool is protected by a pergola supported by 11 stone colonnades that surround the pool. The pool area looks like a Roman mansion although the whole design rather refers to Versace than Julius Cesar.

Note: Walk the path that goes down to the beach and on your way to the village of Livadia discover the water springs that create small ponds with crystal clear waters, hidden away in clusters of reeds and oleanders. The water runs down to the sea in small creeks and its discrete sound blends with the sound of the waves offering you absolute relaxation.

Accommodation and Facilities of the villa

Villa Neptune - Keramoti bay The villa is located in the seaside village of Livadia, Keramoti bay, Innahorion, in the southwestern part of Crete, at a distance of 72 km from Chania and 31 km from Kissamos. The villa can be accessed through a 4 km long road that is connected to the regional provincial road. The village is located in the middle of the European hiking path E4– a seaside route of exceptional natural beauty- that starts at the village of Kambos and continues through the villages of Keramoti, Livadia, Chryssoskalitissa and Elafonisi. The route is typical of the rugged beauty of Crete with amazing changes of the scenery between olive and locust trees and sea-beaten rocks of black and red volcanic lava.

Note: The family who cleans the villa, speaks English and can cook for the tenants of the villa a great variety of traditional Cretan dishes. The tenants may buy fresh fish from Vasilis, the young man who cleans the pool but also has a fishing boat and goes fishing regularly. If you wish, you may ask him to take you fishing with him or you may charter his boat for a boating trip to Elafonisi, Paleohora or Falasarna. The sea is only 60 m away from the villa but there are also many secluded beaches about 100 m away as well as the exquisite beach of Elafonisi at a distance of about 25 min by car. A basketball and a volleyball field are available at a distance of about 2500 m from the villa
